President's Message

Dear Friends:

I am pleased to share with you some information about the Cuban American National Council (CNC).

CNC is a private non-profit agency, 501(c)(3), that serves immigrants, emerging leaders and individuals in need from all races and nationalities.  The Council delivers education, housing and economic development services through a network of related non-profit corporations.  The Council’s accomplishments in planning, negotiating, and implementing agreements with the public and private sectors cover a period of thirty years.  To date, the Council has helped over 3,000 at-risk students to remain in school, graduated 249 with a high school diploma; made 35,800 direct job placements; created more than 4,000 new jobs; awarded over 80 internships to needy students; and built new housing units for 1,700 persons of low and moderate income.

With more than 60 policy papers and books published, CNC is the oldest service organization conducting research on Cuban-Americans, and frequent analyses on Hispanic American issues.
