Tuesday, October 26, 2004, the Cuban American
National Council (CNC) held a networking
reception for friends and other community leaders at the
trendy restaurant Chispa at Merrick Park in Coral
Gables. There were over 400 entrepreneurs, judges,
public officials, and other community leaders.
The reception provided an opportunity for Council
directors and other stake-holders to reveal new Council
projects and the creation of educational centers
designed to inform families with school-age children in
relevant elements of No Child Left Behind legislation
and other educational policies. In addition, the Council
announced the new 202 development in the amount of $8
Million dollars granted by HUD to CODEC, a CNC related
organization.
