The CNC
national conference played an important role as a networking opportunity and a
forum where relevant policy issues are discussed. Our biennial conference drew
over 1000 Hispanic leaders, policy makers, direct
service providers, advocates, and corporate leaders from all over the United
States for discussion, analysis, and agenda setting on critical issues affecting
our community.
This year's conference “The Hemispheric Relations of Hispanic Americans assessed
the impact of U.S. Hispanics on Latin America's development, and
their roles in the business, social and political relations between the U.S. and
our southern neighbors.
For two full days U.S. and Latin American leaders participated in conference
luncheons and plenary sessions. The conference closed with an awards
banquet honoring distinguished Hispanic leaders from across the United States,
and a grand finale with a concert by internationally renowned musician
Arturo Sandoval.
The Cuban American National Council's conference was an excellent
opportunity to gain visibility in the Cuban American and the national Hispanic
community. The Cuban American National Council (CNC) is a non-profit
organization providing human services to persons in need from all racial and
ethnic groups. CNC assists individuals to become self reliant and builds bridges
among America's diverse communities.
