Refugee Employment & Training Program
The primary purpose of the Refugee Employment Program (RET) is to assist newly arrived refugees in finding employment and becoming self-sufficient. Services offered to participants include job placement, skills training, On-the-Job Training (OJT), English classes and other support services.
The program serves three types of eligible refugees:
- Refugee Cash Assistance Clients
- Welfare Transition (WT) Clients
- A refugee, with or without cash assistance, in the country for 60 months or less
The RET program enrolls an average of 1,600 participants yearly, and has served over 37,976 individuals in the last two decades
Refugee Summer Youth Program
The Refugee
Summer Youth Program offers youth ages 14-18 valuable
paid work experience in part-time positions, 20 hours
per week or less, in non-profit organizations.
